Fitch affirmed Slovakia's A- rating

Fitch affirmed Slovakia's A- rating with a stable outlook, a week after S&P did the same. It cites the developed export sector and eurozone membership as strengths. High public debt, seen at 67% of GDP in 2028, is a concern. A long average maturity of state debt, over eight years, cushions the impact of higher interest rates, the agency said. Economic growth should accelerate to 1.8% by 2028 on foreign demand and new automotive capacity.
