Car production fell to 900,000

The four Slovak car plants ―VW, Stellantis, Kia, and Jaguar Land Rover―produced about 900,000 cars last year, estimates ZAP, the local automotive union. The output came to 985,000 vehicles in 2020 and 555,000 in the first half of 2021. The drop stems from chip shortages.
