Agel (Tomáš Chrenek) is investing €150m in its hospitals in eastern Slovakia. Of that, €40m has already been spent on the Agel Košice Cardiology Center and CT facility. Next steps include new and renovated pavilions in Košice-Šaca and the renovation of Železničná nemocnica (ŽN). Only 5% of costs will be covered by state subsidies, with the remainder funded from the group’s own resources. Agel recently acquired ŽN, entered the Bardejov hospital, and is purchasing the Gynpor hospital in Sliač.
