AeroMobil wants to sell its first flying car in 2023 and then wants to make 20 cars annually, says Patrick Hessel, who took over as CEO at the end of 2019. The initial plan was 2017 and 500 cars. So far, it has spent €24m on the flying car development, of which about a third was provided by the state, and it needs an additional €15m. It only has money for several more months and hopes to conduct the first test flights in coming weeks, attracting new investors. Fiscal constraints led to the firing of expensive top foreign engineers.
