Minimum wage will increase by €40 to €620 in 2021

The minimum wage will increase by €40 to €620 as of January 2021, proposed Labor Minister Milan Krajniak (Sme rodina). It will only be at 75% of that level, €465, for the long-term unemployed. Today, about 121,600 people earn the minimum wage. Business lobby groups vigorously oppose any hike in the minimum wage in the aftermath of the pandemic.
