Slovakia no longer competitive

Slovakia slipped four places to 57th in this year’s World Competitiveness Yearbook compiled by the Swiss-based Institute for Management Development. This is the lowest position ever for Slovakia, which ranked 30th back in 2007. Even Ukraine and Kazakhstan are ahead of Slovakia, and of European countries, only Croatia is worse off. Austria ranks 16th and Czechia 33rd.
