Slovak company InoBat Auto will place its €100m electric car battery development and production center in Voderady, near Trnava. It bought production halls where Samsung made displays and electronics until 2018. It plans to produce the first batteries in 2021. The government provided the project with a €5m investment stimulus to help create 150 jobs for highly qualified engineers. If the development phase succeeds, InoBat will build a €1bn plant around Košice by 2024. Its leading investor is IPM Group and it also cooperates with US company Wildcat Discovery Technologies, which develops battery materials. Other partners are Matador, Vývoj Martin and A.EN.
