The Trnava car plant of PSA announced it is “in the final phase of the production launch of a brand new model of a fully electric car”. It would not disclose any details, but it seems this will be an e-version of the Peugeot 208. Gilles Vidal, head of design in PSA, confirmed next year’s launch of an e-version of the Peugeot 208 for express.co.uk. The plant is considering building a new electric battery assembly line, with 60 new jobs. The production launch of an electric car in Trnava is very good news for the future of the plant.
