Deloitte, a consulting firm, billed the Agriculture Ministry €120-150 an hour last year for its consultants, despite the actual work being done by the ministry’s employees, says Zuzana Šubová, head of the ministry’s technical assistance dept. She says the ministry could easily do away with Deloitte’s ’services’. When Šubová pointed out the issue, her boss, Marek Mitošinka, a former Deloitte employee, started to harass her. Someone even forged her signature on her resignation. The ministry later fired her. Deloitte billed the work based on a 2014 tender, and received €1.7m last year. The company faced similar controversies in its work for the Transport Ministry and the cabinet office ÚV.
