Mondi SCP is investing €340m
Ružomberok-based paper mill Mondi SCP obtained the final permit for its €340m investment into new technology for making cardboard white-covered paper with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons. Production is to be launched at the end of 2020. The paper mill is also renovating its pulp production unit, and will have increased its annual capacity by 100,000 tons by the end of 2019. The new cardboard technology will use the increased pulp output. Last year, the paper mill posted a 14% drop in net profit to €72.3m and its sales were down 1% to €517.8m.
