Easier employment of foreigners

The Labor Ministry submitted for comments a new Strategy For Foreigners’ Labor Mobility that proposes to cut the time needed for non-EU foreigners to get a work permit from the current 6-9 months to a single month. This is how long it takes to employ a person from Ukraine in Poland at the moment; Ukrainians therefore show scant interest in the Slovak labor market. The ministry plans to force authorities to issue various permits quicker and eliminate some permits. For example, foreigners will no longer need to provide education certificates or proof of accommodation.
