IT company Asseco CE paid an unspecified amount to acquire an unspecified stake in local IT firm DWC Slovakia. The latter firm was set up by oligarch Jozef Brhel, who sold his stake to its managers recently. The company worked almost exclusively on projects in the public sector. “DWC has a strong market position and offers solutions we lack in our portfolio,“ commented Jozef Klein, CEO of Asseco CE. DWC focuses on document management, workflow, and administrative processes.
Several months ago and for similar reasons, Asseco CE acquired a majority stake in CEIT, which focuses on industrial automation.
Earlier this month, another IT firm with a huge presence in the public sector, Anext, underwent ownership changes, too. One of its managers, Peter Výboch, acquired a 66% stake.
