Slovakia gained assistance for building eight charging stations for electric cars as part of the Central European Ultra Charging project that will support the building of 118 ultra-fast stations in the CEE region by May, 2021. Austrian company Verbund is investing €62m into the project, of which the EU will provide 20%. The project’s Slovak partner is GreenWay, which already has a network of dozens of charging stations in Slovakia.

Back in November 2017, the EU provided €19m for a similar project to support the building of 25 stations in Slovakia.
