Zeocem to invest €80m to make clinkers, used in cement production

Zeocem, owned by Czech-Austrian group CTR and Austria’s Glock Health, plans to invest €80m in the production of clinkers, which are used when making cement. Now, it mainly mines zeolite used in the production of building materials and animal feed. Upon completion in 2025, the investment will increase staff numbers by 50-100 from the current 200. Between 2009-21, its sales jumped from €8m to €28m and since 2011 its net profit has exceeded €1m annually.
