U.S. Steel Košice has new Collective Agreement
Management and labor unions of U.S. Steel Košice agreed on a new Collective Agreement. Basic wages will increase by €60 and performance bonus by €30 as of September 1. Employees will also receive a €150 bonus for signing the agreement. As for the most contentious issue, working hours, management will be able to extend these by two hours to 37.5 hours weekly for six months a year.
Demand for as well as prices of steel rose after the pandemic and the steel mill has been posting record profits recently.
