Trnava Stellantis car plant plans to build 36 MW photovoltaic power plant
The Trnava Stellantis car plant plans to build a 36 MW photovoltaic power plant, the largest in Slovakia. It will fully cover its power consumption and supply surplus energy to the grid. It will also build a new biomass boiler. The investment amount has not been disclosed; it is to amount to tens of millions. Last year, the plant’s output plummeted to 150,000 cars as it was retooling lines for the new models, but could gradually rise to 400,000 cars a year.
