The third pandemic wave peaked on November 9, will stagnate now, and soon caseloads as well as the number of patients in hospitals will start to fall, say analysts with Dáta bez pátosu. Covid-19 has run out of people, as a large share of the population is vaccinated or recovered. The number of hospitalized patients will rise from the current 2,500 to 3,000. The third wave will have claimed 2,500-3,000 lives (17,300 excess deaths during the second wave).
