Tax freedom day falls on July 9
Tax freedom day falls on July 9 in Slovakia this year, meaning that Slovaks work 190 days on average to meet their tax and payroll levy duties, Nadácia F.A. Hayeka calculations show. This is eight days more than last year and the longest since the day was first calculated in 1999. This is down to the pandemic, to which the government responded by a massive fiscal stimulus.
