CzechToll signed contracts for new toll system

NDS, the national highway firm, following a 3.5-year tender, signed a €13.8m contract with CzechToll for a new toll IT system. Unlike the current system, NDS will manage the new system inhouse and this should reduce the toll management fee from the previous 50% to 15% in 2026. However, NDS also plans to extend the overpriced contract with the current provider, SkyToll, to 2025. NDS has also already launched the European EETS toll system and signed a €28.7m toll services contract with CzechToll. The latter, like SkyToll, is controlled by the Czech PPF group.
