Slovakia wants to be included in Michelin Guide
Slovakia is the only country in Central Europe that does not cooperate with the Michelin Guide and Slovak restaurateurs have launched a petition calling on the government to enter the cooperation. The Transport Ministry responded that it welcomes the initiative and is going to negotiate with the restaurant guide. The Czech government recently paid €2.3m to the guide for five years of keeping Czech restaurants in the guide. According to Slovak restaurants, this is a good investment in marketing and branding of the country.
