Slovakia has the 17th most complex economy in the world
Slovakia has the 17th most complex economy in the world, according to Harvard University's ranking based on the sophistication of exports. The ranking reflects how deeply embedded a country is in global production and trade chains and is topped by Japan. Slovakia ranked 16th in 2010. Czechia ranks 7th and Hungary 13th. Complex economies are more resilient, with the potential for faster economic growth. Slovakia is particularly helped by car exports, but only a minimum of their development is in Slovakia.
