The anti-trust authority PMÚ is reviewing a deal in which companies EIF and HBz are acquiring heating utilities TeHo Bardejov, Bardenergy, TeHo Topoľčany and Tome. (antimon.gov.sk) EIF (Martin Golis) is a Slovak investment group that invests in various energy projects. HBz is controlled by Peter Čičmanec. The heating utilities being acquired, with annual revenue of around €30-40m, were originally bought up by the Arca group. After Arca's collapse, the J&T group monetized its claims by selling the utilities to Czech group Natland in 2023, which then passed them on to Czech manager Jiří Šmíd. Natland is now selling them.
