Slovak households pay low energy prices

Average household electricity prices in the EU, including taxes, rose 1% annually to €28.72 per 100 kWh in the second half of 2024, while gas prices jumped 10% to €12.33, Eurostat reported. Wide price disparities across member states reflected differences in taxes and subsidies. Slovak prices were among the lowest. Prices in euros per 100 kWh in 2H24:
