Simpler rules for EU funds
The government approved a list of bodies managing EU funds in the 2021-27 period. The sole managing authority will be the Investment Ministry, and Slovakia will have a single Operational Program instead of the current eight. Seven intermediate bodies (now 28) will assist in the management, while regions VÚCs and regional capitals will have no say. This should speed up the subsidy allocation process. The first calls for projects are to be published in the second half of 2022.
