Residential real estate prices are 6.9% lower compared to market peak in June 2022

Residential real estate prices accelerated their quarterly decline to 3.9% in the first quarter, according to data from the NBS, which analyses prices in advertisements. Prices are up just 1.8% under an annual comparison, the slowest growth since 2015. Compared to the market peak in June 2022, prices are now 6.9% lower, at €2,556 per sqm. Quarter-on-quarter, prices fell the most in the Košice (-6.1%), Prešov (-5.9%) and Bratislava regions (-4.2%). In the remaining regions prices are stagnant.
