A quarter of Slovaks experience high financial stress, 38% a medium level and 37% a low level, according to a survey conducted by Focus for the Partners Foundation. The biggest source of financial stress is building up financial reserves and repaying debts, and people with the lowest incomes are the most stressed. Slovaks perceive their standard of living and financial situation as more stable than in previous years. A quarter of Slovaks have a financial reserve of 6-times their monthly income, but a third have no financial reserve at all. Almost half of Slovaks are repaying some kind of loan.
