Power production from fossil fuels in Slovakia is rising
Despite EU climate policy and the rising prices of emission allowances, electricity production from fossil fuels in Slovakia increased in the first 11 months of this year by 18% annually to 6.6 TWh. The growth was driven by the Malženice gas-powered plant, which is owned by ZSE. Total electricity production in Slovakia has risen 5% to 24.9 TWh in January-October.
