Porsche unveiled its new €1bn plant in Horná Streda near Trnava. The highly automated battery‑module facility for the electric Cayenne SUV uses 362 robots and automated guided vehicles. The current automation rate is 95%, with a design target of up to 98%. It assembles battery cells supplied by LG Energy and serves as the “mother factory” for Volkswagen’s battery division. The adjacent body shop is 91% automated, with 430 robots.
