Peugeot 208 no longer produced in Trnava
In early October, the Trnava Stellantis car plant stopped production of the Peugeot 208 model; factories in Spain and Morocco now assemble it. The plant currently produces only the Citroën C3 model and is investing to get ready for the production of electric cars. The state supported the €180m investment with a €15m stimulus. During the transformation, the plant will reduce employment by 360 people. In 2024, the plant will start production of the Citroën C3 Aircross and Opel Crossland models; later the electric version of C3 should be added.
