Pandemic assistance to companies increased, kurzarbeit will pay €1,100

In response to the second pandemic wave, the government approved an increase in the pandemic assistance to companies, reinstated SOS subsidies and a pandemic parental benefit. The cap for kurzarbeit assistance is increased from €880 to €1,100 per worker and other forms of assistance are increased by 50%. The higher assistance is available starting October 1. The government also softened conditions to apply. The SOS subsidy for those who do not qualify for other forms of assistance is being increased to €300 a month from previous €210.
