OFZ to build €100m plant in Angola
Ferroalloy producer OFZ (Vladimír Klocok) is negotiating with the government in Angola a €100m investment in a new plant and wants to start production there in 2028. It already has a preliminary contract for the land and is negotiating the price of electricity. It has signed a contract with state-owned Chinese firm Minmetals, which has built 200 furnaces in 30 plants around the world over the past 10 years. It has preliminary agreements with three investors from Europe, the US and the United Arab Emirates.
OFZ is also moving part of its production capacity from Slovakia to Uzbekistan.
