NN is new majority owner of Finportal

Life insurer NN has become the majority owner of the broker pool Finportal, after the deal has been okayed by PMÚ, the anti-trust authority. NN has acquired a 50% stake from the insolvent Arca Capital and also bought part of the shares previously owned by founder Rudolf Adam. He owns the rest of the shares and remains its CEO. Finportal was established in 2010 and last year had €35m in sales. It provides services to financial agents, taking a cut from their fees.
