Multiplex chain Cinemax posted record profit last year

The chain of 14 Cinemax multiplexes (the Drobný family) doubled its revenues last year to €18.9m, but they were still below 2019's level (€22.4m). Its net profit jumped to a record €3.6m last year. The profit surged thanks to the gradual return of people to the cinemas, but also thanks to financial operations with receivables. Drobný's other company, the distributor Continental Film, also fared better. Its revenues rose 30% to €4m and net profit jumped to €1.6m.
