Matovič wants higher tax on Slovnaft

Recently, parliament approved a 55% tax on last year's excess profit of Slovnaft oil refinery. OĽaNO leader Igor Matovič has now submitted a bill that would increase the tax rate to 75% and apply it to this year's excess profit as well. The approved tax would bring around €400m and after the change its intake would increase by €130m for last year alone. Slovnaft is set to sue Slovakia over the tax.
