Marel aims to double production and employment in Nitra in 3-5 years

The Nitra plant of Marel, an Icelandic manufacturer of food industry machinery, increased its net profit by 31% to €2.3m last year, and its sales rose 31% to €74.3m. The improvement was driven by higher demand and a shift of production from other Marel plants. It employs 400 and invested €10m last year. It is working on further expansion, aiming to double production and employment in 3-5 years.
