Residential real estate prices were 3% higher under a quarterly comparison and 4% higher annually in the second quarter, the statistics office ŠÚ reported, based on real estate cadaster prices. Annual prices rose after four quarters of declines. The central bank NBS has recently reported price changes of 1.6% and -1.3% on the basis of offer prices in ads. Both new (3%) and older (4.4%) property prices rose annually, according to ŠÚ data. The prices increased fastest in the Žilina, Nitra, and Trenčín regions. In Bratislava, prices were 0.6% higher year-on-year.
