House prices keep falling

The prices of residential property were 1.7% lower quarter-on-quarter and 2.8% lower annually in the first quarter of this year, the statistics office ŠÚ reported on the basis of contracts in the real estate cadaster. Quarter-on-quarter, new property prices were 2.1% lower and existing properties were 1.7% cheaper. In Bratislava, the decline was the most dynamic (-6.7% and -8.7%). ŠÚ data refute claims of developers and real estate agents about the renewed price growth.

Compared to 2010, house prices are 80% higher.
