Grafobal group of Ivan Kmotrík had €1.4bn revenues in 2018

The Grafobal group of Ivan Kmotrík had €1.4bn revenues in 2018, €503m assets and €23m EBITDA profit. It employs 7,000. Kmotrík may seek a strategic investor for his packaging maker Grafobal, with plants in Slovakia, Czechia, Russia, Lithuania, and Bulgaria. Distribution and retail sale of cigarettes and print media in Slovakia and Czechia account for over half of the group’s sales (GG Tabak). Kmotrík does not plan to sell his news TV station, TA3. He has agreed with banks on repayment of loans for the football stadium in Bratislava. The pandemic has hit his Slovan Bratislava football club and OMS, lighting maker the hardest. OMS posted €10m losses over the past four years and is reducing staff from 1,000 to 200. It plans a profit for 2021. Real estate projects account for 10% of the group’s revenues.
