Slovakia ranked 50th in this year's World Happiness Report, published by the University of Oxford, Gallup and the UN. This is down five places compared to last year, as we were overtaken by Romania and Serbia. Neighboring Czechia ranks 20th and Slovenia and Poland are also in the TOP30, while Hungary is down at 69th. Finland has retained the top spot for the eighth year, followed by Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden. The Slovak's drop reflects the 3rd-highest annual increase in suicides globally.
