Four Slovak car plants made 555,000 vehicles in the first half

The four Slovak car plants made 555,000 vehicles in the first half, reported ZAP, the local automotive union. In the first half of the record year 2019, the production stood at 615,000 vehicles and in the pandemic last year at 420,000 cars. ZAP estimates that the lack of components, especially chips, will reduce this year’s car output in Slovakia by 100-200,000 vehicles (10-20%).
