Fortischem had a good year in 2023
Fortischem (Karel Pražák) chemical plant reported an 85% drop in net profit to €3.3m last year, and its sales fell by 6% to €158.3m. However, its 2022 results were skewed by a sale of €30m of electricity purchased previously for low prices, and last year was actually a very successful one. Its €8m operating loss from 2022 turned into €7.3m operating profit and the factory ran at full capacity again after several years. Its added value rose from €18m to €33m. It expects similar results this year.
