Football club Slovan Bratislava quintupled its loss last year
Football club Slovan Bratislava, the biggest sports organization in Slovakia, quintupled its loss last year to €6.5m, although its sales grew 21% to €18.4m thanks to a €7m revenue for participation in European cups. The losses have long been financed by owner Ivan Kmotrík. Low player sales is the key factor behind last year’s loss; another is paltry TV rights revenues.
