Food companies Istermeat and Euromilk improve performance

Sales of meat processor Istermeat rose from €6m to €49m in seven years and dairy firm Euromilk made a profit last year after nine years in the red. They employ 250 and the improvement in their performance came after Réka Világi (35), the daughter of their owner Oszkár Világi, started to manage them seven years ago. Oszkár Világi is focusing on his managerial position at MOL/Slovnaft. The pandemic helped them too, as people bought more food in stores when restaurants were closed. Modernization of technologies and a product portfolio geared towards higher added value also helped.
