The Finance Ministry is considering extending the loan repayment moratorium for individuals as well as companies. The current moratorium expires at the end of this year, but the second pandemic wave is testing their solvency again. Its decision will take into account the depth of the recession. In September, the central bank NBS estimated that 7% of companies and 9-12% households might face solvency issues. So far, 119,000 households and 5,078 companies have applied for the loan deferral, and banks report no new wave of application amid the onset of the second pandemic wave.
