Ecco to close 640-worker plant in Martin

Danish footwear firm Ecco will cease production at its plant in Martin and lay off all 640 employees by the end of the summer. It cites "global business and economic developments." The plant has been profitable in recent years and posted €63.8m sales in 2023.
