ECB may increase rates this year

The European Central Bank kept its key interest rate unchanged on Thursday but acknowledged mounting inflation risks and even opened the door to an interest rate hike this year, marking a remarkable policy turnaround for one of the world's most dovish central banks. Markets now expect a 0.45 of a point hike by December and the euro firmed against the dollar.
