Duslo is discussing the purchase of indebted chemical plant Chemko

Fertilizer maker Duslo (Andrej Babiš) is discussing the purchase of indebted chemical plant Chemko Strážske (Mario Hoffmann). Chemko has already paid due wages for January and February to its 350 workers. If the talks with Duslo fail, Hoffmann is ready to send Chemko into bankruptcy. This would put at risk production of other companies in Chemko’s vast facility. Duslo makes fertilizers with 100 workers there; Austrian Kronospan makes Diakol glues and Dutch group Syndus makes Fiberstruct glass fiber reinforced plastic gratings.

Recently, Hoffmann was forced to sell his larger chemical plant, Fortischem Nováky, for a symbolic €1. The new owner, Czech Kaprain, assumed its debts.
