Local groups Penta, J&T, and HB Reavis keep selling bonds despite the woes of Arca Capital, which has already defaulted on one of its bond issues. They blame a slightly softer demand on the pandemic. Small issuers might run into trouble, though, and Peter Krištofovič (Arca Capital’s minority shareholders) has already suspended a €17m bond issue of his Salve funding SK. In recent days, Penta has launched the sale of two bond issues totaling €15m with yields of 3.8-5%. Several weeks ago, HB Reavis sold €15m bonds. J&T Banka also successfully placed its bond issue on the market in September.
