Bearings trader Imet has annual sales of €50m

The Imet group (Mikuláš Potoczky) trades in bearings and equipment for the metallurgical industry. It comprises 13 companies, employs 270 people, and generates annual revenue of €50m with EBITDA of €3m. Slovakia accounts for 30% of its business, with the rest spread across the world. The group also has its own production facility in Skalica. Last year it acquired IT firm TatraSoft to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities. Twenty years ago it bought a castle in Halič and spent €20m renovating it into the Galicia Nueva hotel.
