Among the fast food chains, McDonald's is doing particularly well in Slovakia; last year it increased its net profit to a record €10.2m. It has 42 restaurants, 17 of them in Bratislava. Revenues were €55.6m, but these do not include franchises. KFC has 11 restaurants in Slovakia, which increased sales by half last year to €10.9m. The loss doubled to €0.6m. Burger King has eight outlets and Pizza Hut has three, with the operator reporting a loss of €1.4m on sales of €6.3m. Starbucks saw sales rise 60% to €6.5m and net profit almost double to €0.7m. The number of its coffeehouses has risen to 12. Domino's Pizza only has four outlets, all in Bratislava, and they lost €0.1m on €1.6m sales.
